Angels and Airwaves
Do It For Me Now

Music Video, 2006

VFX Supervision, Design, Composite

Overview

We worked closely with Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 fame to create not only their debut music video, but the visual language of his new band, Angels & Airwaves. The album artwork, music video and an animated short film, all directed by Shilo, evoked an anthemic tone that matched the sound of their new music. We flexed the then-emerging ability to apply cinema-ready VFX techniques to create an epic, otherworldly atmosphere for the video.

This was likely my first project as VFX Supervisor for a team that wasnt entirely internal to the studio. It was an early lesson in translating concept art, storyboards, and previz camera movies into digestible on-set language. The experience changed the way I approached CG as a broader part of creative problem solving across all media. Theres some fun clips of young me trying to sound smart in the BTS below.
